Make $$ on Triaminic at Walgreens

I haven't dug through my coupons yet, but by all accounts if I can find 2 of the $3 off a bottle of Triaminic coupons found in the December 4th Smart Source insert and one of the Walgreens January coupon books it looks like I could stand to make $3 at Walgreens for buying 2 bottles of Triaminic.

Spend $2 after coupons (2 manufacturer, and 1 Walgreens coupon); Receive $5 in Walgreens Register Rewards.

This deal begins on Sunday, January 1, 2012. Check out CouponMom here to see Walgreens and other stores upcoming deals.

I will attempt this on Sunday. I hope to report my findings ASAP.

Anyway you slice it: My Budget Won at CVS Today

Here's the proof:
Now how did i do it?
So, my Thanksgiving deals are still paying it forward. I walked into CVS an hour ago armed with $5 in ECBs from my most recent 11/27 transaction that I wrote about last week. (Note: that my out of pocket cash on the transaction that netted me the $5 ECB was $3.59). That $5 was added to $10 in ECBS I received today for Revlon (which was a moneymaker after my $1 manufacturer coupon) and American Greeting cards (another moneymaker after CVS $2 coupon) purchases, and an additional $1 that printed for the 4th use of my handy dandy Green Bag Tag. I also had a $5 off a $30 purchase at CVS coupon to use.
So, my first transaction
3 American Greetings Greeting Cards for $0.99 each.
1 package of Revlon emery boards $3.39
1 Revlon nail clipper $2.87
Coupons- $2 CVS coupon (I got on their web site) off purchase of 3 American Greeting Cards
$1 off Revlon beauty tool (I only had one it was from 10/30 Smart Saver (SS)...I would've used 2 if I had two).
Cash total was $6.74
I received $10 in ECBS ($6 for purchasing 2 Revlon beauty aides; $3 for purchasing 3 American Greeting Cards; and $1 for it being the 4th time my Green Bag Tag was scanned.)
2nd Transaction:
My goal going into to transaction #2 was for the sale prices of the items I purchased to exceed $30 (But barely) so that I would qualify for the $10 gift card of my choice. One of the items I really wanted wasn't on the shelf, but I managed to be prepared with coupons and such for the others. Also, I needed to spend atleast $30 in this one transaction to use the CVS $5 off $30 coupon I mentioned earlier.
So, I bought:
4 cans of Progresso soup. They were $1.50 each so, they totaled $6.00.
2 bags of Chex Mix. They were 1.50 each, so they totaled $3.00
4 boxes of General Mills Cereal. They were $2.50 each, so they totaled $10.00
1 package of Cottonelle (18 rolls = a gazillion. :) ). It was $9.99
2 package of Altoids (buy one get one free). They were $2.19
So, my pre-tax & pre-coupon total was $31.19 (Qualifying me for the $10 gift card; now watch my total disappear with coupons and Extra Care Bucks.)
Manufacturer Coupons:
$1.00 off 4 cans of Progresso
$0.50 off 2 bags of Chex Mix
$1.00 off 2 boxes of General Mills Cereal
$1.00 off 2 boxes of General Mills Cereal
CVS Coupon:
$5.00 off $30 purchase
ECBs
$5.00 from Sunday, November 27 Lysol automatic soap dispenser
$6.00 from Revlon
$3.00 from American Greetings
$1.00 Green Tag
After tax cash total: $8.04
Qualified for $10 gift card. I selected American Express.
Cash spent at CVS today for both transactions was $14.78
If you count the Amex Gift Card as one item received my per item total was $0.78 per item.
If you take Amex $10 off cash spent you have that spent $4.78 resulting in $0.26 per item total.
The sale price value of all the merchandise I received is $50.50 including the $10 for the American Express.
And this purchase is full of useful items, most of which i purchase regularly for our household.
Bonus note: The pictured packages have $1 worth of BoxTops on them, so GWCHE will earn a little money because of my couponing at CVS. :)

$4.51 at Walgreen's

I came into today's Walgreen's visit with $7 in rewards $7 in coupons. I completed 4 transactions totaling $4.51 to purchase the following: 3 bags of Ghirardelli peppermint bark, 2 Aquafresh Spin toothbrushes, 2 black Sharpies, 1 bottle of Revlon Top Coat nail polish, and a snowman gift bag.

By the way: the above pictured items would've cost me $27 without the coupons and rewards I used.

Lysol Automatic Soap Dispenser at Walgreen's

This week's Walgreen's & CVS ads have done little to tempt me to leave the comfort of my warm & cozy home to save a few dollars. Instead I made chili and corn bread. We watched some football and waited to hear where the Baylor Bears would be playing their bowl game.

Last week's couponing:
On Thursday B, A, and I scored another one of these Lysol Automatic Soap Dispensers, 3 Holiday pencils, and 3 soft lips. I spent $10, but left with $7. I'm hoping to find something to purchase with my rewards at Walgreen's this week. The kids were stoked to get this soap dispenser for their bathroom.
